:「誒,你有帶鑰匙嗎︖」

鑰匙指向的是切開的空間,階層化的斷裂,同時也具有某種限定性,如同後疫情時代的展覽預約制,沒有預約就沒有展覽,預約的表單如⼀把虛擬的鑰匙,通往展覽空間的虛擬邀請卡。

(本展覽採預約制,請填寫表單,同時請於表單上留下您的通訊地址,將會將邀請卡寄至您的信箱,並請將其攜帶至展場作為通⾏證。表單開放時間,最早⼀個⽉前,最晚3⽇前受理,單⼀時段僅受理⼀組觀眾。)

此次展覽計畫展出於永富5號,因應空間本身具有多扇⾨與出入⼜,並且彼此之間的⾨鎖形式都略有不同,想藉由創作者打印展場⾨鎖的鑰匙,並且將其於展覽前⼣寄信給預約前來參觀的民眾,試圖藉由觀眾⾃主前往展場,⾃⼰開鎖,且以非常規的入⼜(後⾨)進入展場,使得觀者的⾏動性成為這檔展覽的主體。⽽如何觀看⼀個展覽、⼀件作品,已不全然是發表展覽的訴求,⽽是如何「去」觀看⼀個展覽。⾏動性本身除去創作者的前期準備,亦需要觀眾於展覽內部的移動,⽅能構成⼀個觀看展覽的⾏動,且進⼀步的討論展覽、場域、創作者、觀者之間的多點連接網絡。

“Hey, did you bring the key?"

A key points to a space that has been divided, a tiered fracture that is also a form of limitation. It’s much like the appointment-only system for exhibitions in the post-pandemic era: no appointment, no exhibition. The reservation form acts as a virtual key, a digital invitation to the exhibition space.

(This exhibition is by appointment only. Please fill out the form and provide your mailing address. An invitation will be mailed to you and must be brought to the venue as your pass. The form can be submitted up to one month in advance and no later than three days before your visit. Only one group of visitors will be admitted per time slot.)

This exhibition at Yongfu No. 5 takes advantage of the space’s multiple doors and entrances, each with a slightly different lock. The artist has created keys for the venue’s locks and will mail them to visitors who make an appointment. The goal is for the audience to actively participate in the exhibition by traveling to the venue, unlocking the door themselves, and entering through a non-traditional entrance (the back door). This makes the visitor’s actions the subject of the exhibition.

The focus is no longer just on how to view an exhibition or a piece of work, but on how to “go" and view an exhibition. Beyond the artist’s preparation, the act of viewing an exhibition requires the audience’s movement within the space. This movement connects the exhibition, the venue, the artist, and the viewer, creating a multi-point network of connections and dialogue.
